Minot Area Community Foundation
In 2004, Odney was retained to assist the Minot Area Community Foundation in a strategic planning process. We developed a logo , a newsletter template and a positioning statement: "Center for Community Giving." In our continuing work with MACF, we have coordinated news conferences and changed the way they disseminated their grants, resulting in high profile press coverage for this annual event. We also serve as an advisor to their new community events. The first community event that targeted a select group of individuals resulted in a $1million dollar gift to the foundation. We recently launched their web site, centerforcommunitygiving.com, and rolled out the Magic Give program which gives grants to inspiring projects in the community.
MACF has grown significantly since we began working with them in 2004, and in the last year and a half their balance has nearly doubled. We continue to work with them to identify opportunities and develop and implement strategies that benefit both MACF and the Minot community.
