Odney is a full-service advertising agency seeking a Digital Media Specialist in the Chandler/Gilbert, Arizona area.  This person will be responsible for working with clients, agencies, sites/publishers and internal departments to plan, buy and traffic all digital media with a strong emphasis on B2B, local and national sites. Must have both search and display advertising experience. Individual must have the ability to ingest research and data, boil it down to relevant insights, plan the media and clearly and succinctly communicate the plan to individuals internally and externally. Must utilize experience and expertise to oversee the execution of campaigns from beginning to end. This position offers the opportunity to help shape the growth of the agency’s interactive media offerings/capabilities and educate the internal team.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Participate in development and management of effective integrated media plans and buys under the supervision of the Chief Digital Officer. 
  • Develop objectives, strategies, plans and presentations
  • Create and manage media partner RFP process
  • Maintain media plans including changes, budgeting, execution, reporting, optimization and invoice reconciliation
  • Execute all digital plans in DoubleClick Campaign Manager (must be proficient in creating and assigning creative and Spotlight tag creation)
  • Ensure account and creative teams are apprised of changes to the placements by producing the Creative and Specs Worksheet
  • Develop and execute paid search campaign recommendations and optimizations in Google AdWords
  • Stays apprised of industry standards, new media programs/opportunities and have the ability to advise on new ways to reach target audiences
  • Investigate and utilize information from syndicated research sources
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with media partners
  • Evaluate media opportunities and present media plans and/or POV’s clearly in writing and orally
  • Analyze web metrics, provide campaign effectiveness reports to clients, and recommend optimizations when appropriate to improve media performance
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
 
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of online media planning, implementation and optimizations
  • Is passionate, articulate and can craft a compelling case/recommendation and present it to a client
  • Understands how digital media fits within the overall client marketing/media strategy
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and ability to relate results to client business objectives, providing a basis for measurement of the digital activities 
  • Proficient in using standard online media research and planning tools
  • Possesses a deep understanding of digital mediums, technologies and trends
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills to work closely with and build relationships with account service, creative, and PR/SMM teams. Works well in a team structure. 
  • Ability to work with modest media budgets
  • Passion for the digital space from gaming, mobile, social networking, niche and B2B sites, online video, and everything in between
  • Detail oriented and proficient at managing multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and structure workload
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills as well as proven ability to develop well written documents and presentations
  • Strong mathematical abilities required
  • Experience directly managing a staff of one or more preferred
  • Traditional media experience is a plus
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2-3 years of agency experience; 3+ years media planning experience
  • Experience using DoubleClick Campaign Manager, ComScore, Google Analytics and other media tools
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint)
